This new makers series Brompton is the first time Brompton have collaborated with fellow British premium makers Bremont and Cheaney & Sons, to produce a limited edition bicycle presenting hallmarks from each of these iconic British brands.
The new makers series Brompton is built to last from tig-welded titanium and hand-brazed steel. The main frame is finished in a special edition shade of Brunswick Green, complemented by beautiful brass and rose gold accents, highlighting the finer points of the bike and a subtle nod to the inner workings and hand-finished elements of the accompanying makers series items.
The limited edition Brompton x Bremont x Cheaney edition features a special saddle roll, inspired by the watch
rolls of collaborator Bremont, in brown Italian leather that matches the
Cheaney and Sons Chelsea boots. Designed to pair with the Brooks saddle like a
traditional saddle roll, echoing the intention of the overall collection as an exercise
in both form and function.
Weighing 1.85 kg less than the equivalent all-steel model, the P Line is lightweight performance, folded and unfolded.This meticulously engineered machine thrives on city roads with its titanium rear frame and forks and the all-new suspension block. Designed in-house, the new superlight compact gearing system is fine-tuned for city riding. The 4-speed system with an all-new 60-gram derailleur is meticulously engineered to fit inside the narrow fold. Delivering a similar ratio to the 3-speed and 60% more than the 2.
All-new wheel set
Brompton's lightest, sturdiest wheel set. With a new rear hub designed ground-up to accommodate the new compact 4-speed gear set. Tested on a purpose-made rig and fired with mud, water and sand for hundreds of hours. This wheel set stands up to the abuse of the city. Now fitted with hex key axles and a new hanger mount, so removing them for roadside repairs or maintenance is quick and easy.
