The First Pedal Frog 52S is a great value bike for 5 to 6 year olds with an average inside leg of 52cm.

This bike is a great confidence booster for a taller child that hasn't quite learnt to cycle yet. This versatile model can act as two bikes in one - both a Balance Bike and Pedal Bike and can teach an older child to balance before moving to pedals.

To use the 52S as a Balance Bike all you have to do is remove the pedals and when your child is ready to pedal simply put them back on!

Sizing Information

Sizing a child for a Frog hybrid bike is an important step in ensuring a comfortable and safe riding experience. Here's a general guide to help you determine the appropriate size for your mini rider:

1. Measure their inseam: Ask your child to stand with their feet slightly apart, then measure the distance from the floor to their crotch using a tape measure. This provides an accurate inseam measurement.
2. Refer to the size chart below. Match your child's inseam measurement with the recommended bike size range provided. Take note of the age and height recommendations too, as they can further guide your decision.
3. Consider their overall height and age: While the inseam measurement is crucial, it's important to consider your child's height and age as well. This ensures a comfortable fit and allows for growth.
4. Test the bike fit: Once you've determined the recommended size, it's helpful to have the child sit on the bike and check for a comfortable riding position. Their feet should be able to touch the ground while sitting on the saddle, and they should have a slight bend in their knees when the pedals are at the lowest point.
