We wanted to keep you up to date with how we’re adapting to the current Covid-19 situation.
We are still very much open, but as of 23rd March 2020 we are ‘Non-Contact Open’.
In practical terms that means we are still here, beavering away, servicing bikes, fulfilling orders, but we’re doing so behind closed doors. We’re also still offering the same trusted advice via telephone and email.
Our priority will always be to ensure the health and safety of our team, our customers and their families, but we also recognise that bike shops have been included as an essential service for a good reason, so we’d like to share with you the ways we’ve redesigned the way we operate to keep everyone safe and still rolling.
Working environment
We’re a small team and we’ve got lots of space. So by splitting shifts to minimise the number of people here at any time we can very effectively maintain a safe working environment for the team that need to be on site. We’re following Public Health England guidance and we’ve jet washed Harry (nothing to do with Covid-19, it was just fun).

Ordering and delivery
Whether it’s a new bike to get you out and about on your distanced recreation or new tyres to keep your commute going smoothly we are here to advise via telephone or email. We recognise that we have a responsibility not to encourage our customers to make non-essential journeys so we are delivering orders nationally and locally. Give us a call and we’ll sort out the best delivery method for you.
The Workshop and bike servicing
Bike shops are proving an essential service to keep people moving especially now that public transport services are reducing. Our workshop is fully functioning and ready to help keep you on the road. We’ve just adapted the drop off and collection process to maintain levels of safety for us and you. We’ll talk you through the way it works when you book your bike in over the phone.

You can still browse and order a wide selection of our products on our website, avonvalleycyclery.co.uk. However we have lots more in stock than we have listed, especially in terms of the vital part you may need to keep your bike on the road. If you can’t find what you’re looking for then get in touch.
Supply Chain
We’re well stocked and our supply chain is currently functioning normally so if we don’t have what you need we can usually source it within a few days.
Returns
We have always operated a 90 day returns policy and that remains in place. In the coming weeks, should we need to extend that further, we will.
We are immensely proud of our team and our long history as an independent bike shop serving Bath and beyond and we can’t wait to open the doors again in the future to our fantastic customers who have supported us over the years. In the meantime we will keep monitoring the latest guidance but we are still very much here to help.
