With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.
Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!
With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.
So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.
Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.
The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.
90 Day No Quibble Returns
If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we will exchange or refund in full, excluding carriage, provided that the items are returned within 90 days, unused and in their original condition.
Any packaging must be unopened and any clothing must still have the original tags present and unmoved from the garment. If you return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or if clothing does not fit, then you will pay the return postage costs. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement. If you return an item because it was faulty when it was delivered, we will refund your postage costs for returning it to us. Please check with us before returning any goods, as we will only refund the basic postage charge.

Worthy of being considered a modern day design classic, the Brompton bicycle represents a simple concept elegantly executed to produce a bike that is strong, agile, practical and of course ultimately extremely portable, the Brompton bicycle could be argued to be the bench mark against which all other folding bikes are judged. This may be considered something of a sweeping statement which is why we are always careful not to describe Brompton as the 'best' folding bike (which is a question often asked of us) as this is entirely subjective depending on the situation the bike is to be used. The Brompton can however be described as the 'best' in the areas in which it excels, there is certainly no other practical folding bike that can fold as small and in our opinion we would be happy to make claim that Brompton have a build quality that is matched by few and surpassed by no other manufacturer of folding bikes. The hand brazed steel fame (with a titanium option also available) comes with various options, all of which can be customer defined if desired from the colour through to the gearing. The most significant of these options would be that of the handlebar style which will define the bar height (a choice of the H, M, S or P type) and the gearing (which can range from one speed through to 6, with the additional option to raise or lower the gearing to suit the rider). Beyond this the additional options will tend to be what additional items may be fitted to the bike (ie. mudguards, rack, lights etc), or personal preferences including perhaps the hardest choice of all, the colour! The folded size is largely unaffected by the various options and measures 585mm high x 545mm long x 270mm wide (23" x 21.5" x 10.6"). The total weight of a Brompton bicycle can range from 9 – 12½ kg (20 – 28lbs) depending on the configuration selected.
Please note that due to Brompton dealer terms all Brompton Bicycles can only be collected in person from our shop in Bath as Brompton specify that their dealers are not allowed to post their bikes to new customers. Our apologies for this, it's frustrating for us too!
S Type: This is the lowest, sportiest handle bar that provides a faster and more aggressive position on the Brompton. The trade off is less room for front luggage due to lower bar so the only compatible bag is the smaller S-Bag.
2 speed: The two speed version utilise a custom made Brompton hub which is significantly lighter than the Sturmey Archer hub used on the 3 and 6 speed bicycles. If lightweight is your priority and you can manage with a two gears then this provides a svelte option.
L version: The 'L' simply means the Brompton is equipped with mudguards, undoubtedly the most popular choice for obvious reasons!
The X (titanium) version: The 'X' suffix to the model defines teh bike as being a titanium model. the mainframe remains steel but the rear triangle and fork are both constructed from titanium with a number of other standard lightening measures taken across the bike. When selected with the 1 or 2 speed option this really maximises the light weight potential of the Brompton bicycle.
